Roma women's Network "Uspjeh" (RWN „Uspjeh“) is an informal network of organizations dealing with the issue of Roma women, which was founded on the initiative of the Roma Women Association "Bolja budućnost" from Tuzla. RWN „Uspjeh„ is established at the Founding Assembly on June 13, 2010.
RWN „Uspjeh „ has 5-member organizations:
- Roma women association „Bolja budućnost“Tuzla
- Roma Youth Initiative “Budi mi prijatelj” Visoko
- Roma women - Center for Mothers “Nada” Kakanj
- Roma women association “Romska djevojka-Romani ćej” Prnjavor
- Roma women association “Romkinja” Bijeljina
and the three individuals who are prominent Roma women activists:
- Aldijana Musli, Vogošća
- Aida Mehdić, Travnik
- Elvisa Džafić, Modriča
RWN “Uspjeh” is a non-profit, non-governmental, independent, voluntary, non-governmental association that brings together Roma women's local non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. RWN “Uspjeh” operates on the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The strategic actions of RWN “Uspjeh” are focused on:
- Improving the social status of the Roma national minority with an emphasis on Roma women in B&H. As part of realization this strategic action and in line with Strategy for resolving problems of Roma in B& adopted by Council of Ministries, we create and conduct activities with specific measures: The promotion of international human rights instruments that BiH has ratified or their application prescribed by the BiH Constitution, other legal and statutory acts - the obligation of the state to ensure the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms for all.
- Provision of funds and implementation of projects in the areas: health and social protection, education, housing, economic and any other empowerment of Roma women, active participation of Roma women in the revision and implementation of Action Plans, Decades of Social Inclusion of Roma, active participation of Roma women in policy making, Strategy and law, promotion of Roma culture, tradition and Roma history in order to reduce prejudices and stereotypes towards Roma especially towards Roma women , promotion of gender equality, organization of workshops, seminars, roundtables, conferences, promotional meetings, public forums, campaigns, advocacy, brochures and other publications, education for different target groups, implementation of activities on the prevention of trafficking in human beings in Bosnia and Herzegovina with special emphasis on working with risk groups, engagement in other groups in line with the goals of the network.
